Trip Overview

Also known as the Khopra Ridge, this off-the-beaten-trail adventure is a serene alternative to more popular treks in the region. This Khopra Ridge trek covers the hidden treasures of the Annapurna region.

It features all the elements of classic trekking trails. Therefore, you can experience a great mixture of culture, rustic villages, and exotic wildlife. On top of that, you will trek through the diverse landscapes: from dense forests to high alpine areas. Moreover, you will witness panoramic mountain views and the bright color of rice fields layered on top of each other plunging down into the valley. The trek up to Khopra ridge is rewarding as the views are magnificent. Witnessing the white peaks flaring up in the morning sunlight is magical.

Apart from the mesmerizing landscapes that you will experience, you will directly support local communities throughout the trek.  These locals benefit from providing trekkers with accommodation along the trail, in the form of homestays, community lodges, and tea houses. At the same time, staying at local and community lodges allows you to get insight into local life. The cherry on top is the hike to Khayar Lake, a glacial holy lake that is nestled in a base in the Annapurna Sanctuary. It remains hidden until you actually reach the lake.

This lesser-trodden short trek is perfect for solo, families with children as the trails are moderate to walk on. In addition, Khopra Ridge Community Trek let you admire the beauty of nature and the opportunity to learn about authentic local culture.

Note: below trekking hours, altitudes and distances are approximate, and absolutely for the general idea only.

This is only a sample itinerary of Khopra Ridge Community Trek. We shall tailor-make the program according to your preferences and requirements.
