Central Tibet Tour
This fly in/fly out tour of Central Tibet follows a circular route from Tsedang to Lhasa, exploring the Yarlung Tsangpo Valley, the cradle of Tibetan civilization, and then proceeding on the southern route past Yamdrok Tso, the Turquoise Lake, to the historical towns of Gyangtse & Shigatse. From Shigatse we take the Northern route through the scenic, rugged countryside of the nomads, culminating our tour in Lhasa, the Forbidden City.
One can join this tour either taking the flight from Kathmandu or from any points in Mainland China. For those wishing to take the train journey to Lhasa, we can help in booking train tickets from Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai & Xining.
Itinerary
- Day 01: Fly to Gonggar airport & drive to Tsedang. Afternoon visit Yambu Lhakhang. O/N Hotel (BB)
- Day 02: Visit Samye Monastery & the village of king O/N Hotel. (BB)
- Day 03: Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake. O/N Hotel (BB)
- Day 04: Early morning visit Khumbum Stupa and Palkor Chode and drive to Shigatse and afternoon visit Tashilumpo Monastery & local market. O/N Hotel (BB)
